Dyslexia Dash 5K - Sat Oct 18th starts at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody

Saturday October 18th - 8:00 am
Perimeter Mall - Dunwoody, GA
4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road

Without the support of our participants, sponsors, and volunteers, these exciting events would not be possible.

Together we can demystify reading difficulties, spread knowledge, and encourage change.
The funds raised from the Dash are set aside to provide low-cost teacher trainings, seminars, support groups, and referral and advocacy services.

We are a part of the International Dyslexia Association, which with over 13,000 members is the oldest organization of its kind in the United States serving individuals with dyslexia, their families, and professionals in the field.

Since we do not receive government funding, private donations, membership dues, foundation grants, conferences, other developmental efforts, and the sale of publications fund our annual budget.

Each branch of IDA has an all-volunteer Board of Directors that works to direct its resources towards providing information and referral services to those seeking to learn more about dyslexia and advocacy and direct services in the form of conferences and training for professionals working with individuals with dyslexia.
This race is a Peachtree Qualifier and is run on a USATF certified course. Each participant will receive a ribbon, t-shirt, and swag bag. Awards will be given for top three times in each age/gender category. A festival with sponsor tables, a kid-zone, and raffle prizes will follow the race in the parking lot of Perimeter Mall opposite the McDonalds. The festival is open to the public and participants.

The race will begin at the northeast corner of Perimeter Mall and proceeds down Ashford Dunwoody Road to Hammond Drive.  Turn Right onto Peachtree Dunwoody Road.  Turn Right onto Central Parkway. Final Right Turn onto Perimeter Center West.  The finish line is located opposite the McDonalds at the mall's northeast corner parking lot.  The festival will start at 8:30 and the awards ceremony will begin around 9:30am.
